New Paintings: "Celestial Explosion" and "Supernova"

I’ve been spending time on the NASA website, where images of outer space draw me in like a magnet. Space may be vast, but NASA scientists will tell you it is a very crowded and active place, filled with objects of all shapes and sizes and bursting with energy dating back to the Big Bang – and possibly, other life. I envision all of that in my own way with bright colors that lift my own energy and mood. "Celestial Explosion" (below, left) has a sister painting, "Supernova" (below, right). Both express the continuous expansion and constant flux of space and energy.
