![]() Hello there, and thanks for dropping by! I’m Christine Auda, a self-taught painter and licensing artist in love with colors both bold and subtle, and expressing all of life’s emotions. I focus on the joyful and quirky parts. My newest art is all about high energy. I hope you feel it, too.
I work in acrylic paint on canvas and new media (a.k.a. digital). Digital art tools have evolved dramatically over the past few years, and lately I’ve immersed myself in them. Through Out of the Blue Licensing, I had licensed about 250 of my acrylic and new-media paintings to multiple print publishers in recent years. I am now licensing directly, so contact me if interested. A large selection of my work remains available as prints from iCanvas, produced on your choice of media in various sizes at affordable prices. (Art makes a great holiday gift!) I live in Waretown, NJ with my husband, Jim Koscs, and our lovable rescue cats, Benny and Trixie. It’s an inspiring part of the state, with beautiful pinelands parks and nature preserves and the incomparable Jersey Shore nearby. I can walk to a nature preserve and see herons, egrets, skimmers, ospreys and even bald eagles. |

the healing power of color
I have always felt and believed in the healing power of color, which is why I use such vivid hues in my art.
I first discovered the uplifting energy of color as a child with a Crayola 64 box of crayons. Decades later, during a period of great personal grief, I felt the healing power of expressing my emotions by working with acrylics and the seemingly infinite possibilities offered by digital tools. Today, I use explosions of color in my art as a kind of antidote to the explosive behaviors in the world, and the negative energy they unleash.
I feel that my digital painting, “Majestic Beauty” (below), exemplifies my use of color. This work was part of The Healing Power of Color Exhibition 2022 curated by Renee Phillips, Founder and Director of Manhattan Arts International.
