New Painting: "I Get You"

“I Get You” is my return to portraiture, which I had previously reserved for my art journals, greeting cards and digital art. This acrylic painting has an ethereal quality that I love. It expresses my hope that empathy and compassion can replace divisiveness and inequality. The androgynous figure and animals form a union of understanding and respect for each other’s unique qualities.
